In its campaign to rationalize electricity consumption, the office of the Federal Electricity and Water Authority in Ras Al Khaimah, in collaboration with the School of Zainab for basic and secondary education, held a workshop on "conservation" in the environment at the school under the supervision of Huda Abdullah Al-Shamsi.

During the workshop attended by Eng. Abeer Hassan; Eng. Wafa Khalfan and Mona Al Hammadi demonstrated the importance of rationalization in the reducing of electricity bills and the maintenance of the emirate's resources, stating that a reduced strain on electrical usage would ease the facilitation of future projects and plans. The workshop included discussions and competitions as well as the distribution of publications and manuals on the subject, which benefited both students and teachers alike.

At the end of the workshop, a commemorative shield for the event was presented.
