FEWA Participated with many governmental bodies in celebrating "Earth Hour" which is a global event that takes-place on the last Saturday of March every year. FEWA urged the public to take part in the event by putting off lights for one hour from 8.30 - 9.30 pm.
FEWA also participated in the activities at scientific Museum, Sharjah and Ajman City Center to acquaint public about " Earth Hour" and its effect on environment.
This event comes as a joint effort by all countries to confront by all countries to confront climate changes arising from excessive consumption of power and this effort demonstrated an obvious reduction in power consumption dispite of the short period of time dedicated for the short period of time dedicated for the event.
UAE is the first GCC Country that took part in this experience since last year which showed 46% reduction in power consumption due to putting off lights all over UAE.
